Scott Hitch

Scott has over 19 years experience practicing in the areas of environmental, commercial real estate, renewable energy, land use planning and zoning, and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He has worked at national and regional firms and managed his own practice.

Mr. Hitch has experience counseling individuals and corporations on regulatory compliance, permitting, transactions, and resolution of disputes involving a variety of environmental issues and in connection with remediation and redevelopment of brownfield properties and corporate and commercial real estate transactions. He has also consulted with corporations in dealing with natural resource allocation and regulation involving water and wetland quality, air quality, greenhouse gas, climate changes, and energy sources. Mr. Hitch has counseled clients regarding sustainability programs and reporting, and he is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional.

Scott has been named to Georgia Trend Magazine's Legal Elite – Environmental (2012, 2015), Georgia Super Lawyers "Rising Star" – Environmental (2009-2014) and is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated Lawyer.
